2016 Mission Trip Meeting
After Church on Sunday, October 18th, please join us to begin planning our 2016 Mission Trips. We will meet in the Library
2015 Mission Trip to Welch, West Virginia
Our Mission Statement
We want to follow God's calling to help others, share the blessing we received with people who may be less fortunate, and we hope to touch and inspire more individuals to do the same.
Trip Dates
We leave Sunday July 19th, 2015, in the morning, and return Friday July 24th, 2015, in the evening.
Registration / Cost information
WE ONLY HAVE 3 OPEN SPOTS - Register as soon as possible.
A $50 deposit is collected at the time of registration. This will allow us to secure a space for you on the trip and help us in planning transportation, accommodation, food and other logistics.
The budget for the trip is $500 per person, but it is left up to each individual to determine how much they can and/or are willing to contribute. The remaining money will be provided by the church for this year's trip.
Projects / Roles
In continuation of the collaboration we started in 2014 with the WV Diocese and HEP/Premier Learning Center, we plan to assist with the following projects this year:
- Literacy - We help children from KG through 5th grade improve their reading skills.
- Construction - We help local residents with small construction projects to their homes or the local facilities.
- Garden - We help maintain a garden that provides fresh produce to the local food pantry.
- Drivers/Kitchen crew - We provide transportation and food to the St. Francis team and the children participating in the Reading Camp.
