Choir of St. Francis (Adults and Teens)
Ages: Grades 7 through adult
Rehearsals: Sunday Mornings, 8:05 a.m, followed by worship at 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, (5th) Sundays of the month; and, the Thursday evening before the first Sunday of the month, 7:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. Most 1st Sundays are sung by the Treble choir.
The Choir of St. Francis leads the 10 a.m. Sunday Eucharist on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays every month, and additionally on the 1st Sundays in January, May, and June. They provide other services and concerts throughout the year including Advent Lessons & Carols, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Easter Vigil, and occasional Evensong or a special concert. We have participated in multi-choir concerts of special music (Faure's Requiem and Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs), and in Hymn Festivals. Our repertoire is fairly traditional, including plainchant, and choral repertoire extending from the Renaissance to the 20th century, a capella and accompanied. The Sunday 10 a.m. service is Rite II Eucharist.
Of course, we remember to have fun, too: we bring a treat to share after our Thursday night choir rehearsals, and we have a party outside the church 1-2 times per year.

Summer Impromptu Choir
Do you enjoy singing? Come launch the Summer Impromptu Choir with friends and various choir members on the last Sundays of June, July, and August!
No commitment, no vesting, no prior singing experience needed. We will rehearse the hymns/service music the congregation will sing and then prepare a simple anthem based on a hymn tune you’re sure to know. Want to sit with your family? Bring them up with you! Come once, twice or all three Sundays for musical fun and fellowship within a welcoming atmosphere. All Sunday morning rehearsals begin at 9 a.m. in the nave Gallery.
Ages: Grades 5 through Adult who enjoy singing and desire a short-term commitment
Rehearsals: All rehearsals are required: 2013: Thursdays December 5, 12, 19, 7:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. Dress rehearsal Monday 23 December, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the nave.
This is a wonderful opportunity to sing during the midnight Christmas Eve mass.
