A Purified Soul is Like a Bright Beautiful Chamber

Light is symbolic of God, Love, Faith, and Holiness in scriptures. We are called to walk in the light and love of Christ and to share that with our neighbors throughout the world. The parable of the light and the bushel basket is a reminder to let the light that shines within us illumine the darkness of the world. Just as light in the colors of a page brings clarity, the light and love of Jesus Christ brings us Hope, Faith, Love, and Peace. May we always strive to share that with the world. 

Matthew 5:14-16 - “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” 

Prayer: For the Future of the Human Race

O God, our heavenly Father, you have blessed us and given us dominion over all the earth: Increase our reverence before the mystery of life; and give us new insight into your purposes for the human race, and new wisdom and determination in making provision for its future in accordance with your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

How might you prepare in yourself willingness of seeing things in a new light? How might this change your relationships with: family, friends, co-workers, strangers, or God? How might you look beyond what is initially seen in yourself and in others? How will you share the light and love of Christ with the world today?
