St. Francis-in-the-Fields Community Gardens

St. Francis of Assisi is known for his love of nature.  True to the ecological roots of St. Francis, we use some of our land to offer garden plots for church members and the broader community. There are currently more than 65 plots. We ask that those who cultivate the plots give ten percent of their produce to the needy.

St. Francis-in-the-Fields also uses a plot to grow fresh produce that benefits the Zionsville Food Pantry and the Caring Center of Lebanon. People interested in gardening and in connecting with other parishioners or community members with the same interest are encouraged to participate. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
